How Do I Play Music On My Xbox?

Your Xbox 360 can do so much more than simply play games and one of it’s major functions is it’s ability to play music which is stored on the Xbox 360 Hard Drive.

Before you start you must firstly make a copy of the required music from a CD, this will then be stored on your Xbox 360 Hard Drive.

Once you have uploaded the tunes onto your console you can access them using one of the following methods:

Play music from the Xbox 360 Dashboard

Start the Xbox 360 console without a disc in your Xbox 360 disc tray.

Use your Xbox 360 Controller or remote control to move to the Media section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard, and then select Music.

In the Music section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard, press the X button option that is titled Select Music Source.

Select the Console option.

You can play music by categories by selecting from the following options:

Albums/Artists/Saved Playlists/ Songs/ Genres

This represents one way of playing music on your Xbox, here is the second approach;

Play music from the Xbox Guide

In the Xbox Guide, choose the Select Music option, and then select Hard Drive as the Music Source.

In the Hard Drive area, you can play music by categories by selecting from the following options:

Albums/Artists/Saved Playlists/Songs/Genres

You can play all music from your Xbox 360 Hard Drive if you press the Y button in the Hard Drive area in the Xbox Guide.

You can also select the Play All option in the Hard Drive area to play all music from your Xbox 360 Hard Drive.
