Guide To Xbox Achievements

Xbox Achievements are one of the most popular innovations that Microsoft have provided for the Xbox gamer.

The ultimate accolade is the fact that Sony have just nabbed the idea for the PS3 with their (as yet) inferior Trophy system.

Xbox Achievements provide additional targets and goals to aim for within a given title, these tasks are set by the developer to increase the likelihood of repeated plays by providing ‘bonus’ challenges which also encourage the user to explore the game more thoroughly as successful completion will also it also bolsters the overall game-score.

An achievement could be something simple like completing the game, or a more difficult achievement could be something like finding all the secret items within a particular level.

Achievements provide you with bragging rights when displaying your gamer profile as it will include a full breakdown of what you’ve done on which game,a kind of achievements history, although if you are a kind hearted sole you could use your experience to help out a fellow gamer who is stuck on a particular task.

You can do this by sending them a chat invite when you next spot them online - and don’t forget it works both ways - if you’re stuck ask a friend to help you out!

Achievements feature in every XBOX game  - it’s Xbox Law!

And if you don’t have membership to Xbox Live then don’t worry your previous achievements are automatically stored so when you do join you don’t have to complete the tasks again.
